ABOUT ME

I’m Colin Sway, a conference and corporate event photographer located in San Diego. I deliver polished, dependable coverage for organizations that need their events documented with precision.

My passion for photography began when I was a little kid. I would always grab my mom's computer to make videos and take photos. Telling stories through my parents' computer brought so much joy into my life that I would always say I wanted to be a director when I grew up. That changed one time when I was visiting my grandmother, and she showed me albums of weddings and landscapes she had photographed. Seeing how a single image can preserve a moment long after it ends led me to fall in love with photography. I bring this passion out into my photography by bringing technical excellence and thoughtfulness to each shoot.

At conferences and events, I capture the full scope of the event, from keynote presentations and breakout sessions to networking floors, sponsor activations, and award ceremonies. My technical command of lighting, composition, and equipment allows me to produce consistently sharp, well-exposed images in demanding venues, including dim ballrooms, mixed lighting, and crowded exhibit halls.
